Get Ready for Wednesday Night! And the chaos that is my life!

So sorry about my long blog vacation. My husband and I have been very busy. With Patrick's job we always run the chance of a promotion. A promotion would normally be a blessing to a newly wed couple... more money, better title, bigger office and, better options. Well we live in fear of a promotion. A promotion for us means more than likely relocation, which wouldn't be a problem except in Patrick's company the standard operating procedure for a promotion is as follows- Friday get the good news via phone or e-mail, Saturday & Sunday travel time to the new destination, Monday start your new job. Well this leaves wifey and Chip at home stuck with all the messy details like getting a house ready for sale and waiting for an offer! So like I said, we live in constant fear of a promotion!
With this fear hanging over our heads it means we are constantly updating and making improvements to our house, however we can leave no project un-finished or take our time to do it! Right now we are in the process of finish drywalling our garage. It was a huge undertaking and we should have never tried to do it ourselves! I have a whole huge plan for the garage and since I am an HGTVnut I know that when staging a house the garage is not a garage it is another room! SO with that in mind Pat and I are making our garage fit for a king! I'll surely show pictures when were done, if our backs don't break in the mean time!
The only thing getting me through this week is my anxious excitement for Wednesday night! This Wednesday VH1 is showing the first part in their series of the Beatles Anthology!!! If you couldn't guess from my blog title I am a huge Beatles nut! I can't wait I am so excited everybody should tune in!!!
Oh and on a light note Grandpa is doing great!!! The surgery had a few unexpected complications and was nearly double the time, but he is now at home recovering and swiftly I might add!
Sorry about the randomness that is this post, but take it as a metaphor for my life right. I feel like my life is in chaos and we are only renovating the garage! I can't imagine a whole house! I hate having all our stuff in the drive way, standing guard for the ever threatening Jasper Yard Sale maven- THIS IS NOT A YARD SALE! WERE FIXING OUR GARAGE!!! ahhh my life is in shambles and a bit chaotic.... just like this post.
I hope your days are more organized, less chaotic than mine and of course filled with love!
God Bless,
Cassie

Prayers for Grandpa!

Today is a really anxious day for me. My grandfather was taken in for surgery today to remove his prostate. He suffers from prostate cancer and hopefully today will correct everything he has been struggling with. I have previously blogged about what an inspiration my grandfather has been to me throughout my entire life, truly in all aspects. His e-mail last week was just another marker along the path of his walk with Christ. His mass e-mail simply stated he was at peace. What an inspiration, here he is about to under go a huge operation and he was simply at peace. He has taught me in my life that no matter how much we want, hope, and pray for things it is HIS will that will come to fruition.
Today I pray that it is HIS will to guide the surgical team and to help my grandfather make a swift and full recovery, to live a much longer life with my grandmother, and hopefully one day to meet his great-grandchildren.
I am also praying for a friend of mine whose Dad had surgery yesterday. May he make a full recovery also.
Don't panic. I'm with you. There's no need to fear for I'm your God.
I'll give you strength. I'll help you.
I'll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you.
Isaiah 41:10
I am also hoping that today I will be able to be at peace. This has shaken me more than i thought. Launching me into a full scale panic attack last night. After speaking with my grandmother and my dad I have sort-of calmed down. Hopefully by the end of the day we will have some good news! Until then.... just keep praying please!
God Bless

Our Day at the Lake!

Playing with the new camera, panoramic!

Pat and Chip, daddy's best friend
Ducks!!!

That's right I love to go fishing, although I'm not very good. Especially considering the rest of Pat's family is amazing and does it all the time. Practice makes perfect!
I loved the look of this dock, weathered paint and stenciled letters. I Just thought it was beautiful in the water.

Trophy Fish!

Aqua Dog!

Patrick and I had so much fun taking some time out to go to Patoka lake Sunday Evening. We took Chip to teach him how to swim and he loved the water... after a little coaxing. With having a wet dog on a leash both of us didn't get the quality fishing time we wanted, instead we switched off with my pole and took turns. If you notice in all the pictures Pat was using my pole the "Pink Lady"! There she is in all her glory my pink fishing pole that lights up when you reel! I didn't catch anything but Pat caught some whoppers as you can see from the pictures! haha Well it was just nice to be outdoors doing something we both love and being together (without cell phone reception) for a few hours! What amazing weekend that makes two in a row!
God Bless!
