Bathroom, Before and After

Our Bathroom before...

Don't get me wrong I do love my house and I feel so blessed that we have a new home, but our bathroom needed some TLC! Before it had the same color walls as our master bedroom. This color is a really dark shade of green, it doesn't photo well it was really dark and our bathroom in small and no windows so it looked like a cave! The only thing we had done at this point is take down the large builder mirror and put up the two oval mirrors.

The lovely light bar... so special! (you can really see how dark the walls are here!) Everyone watch out an amateur electrician at work taking down the light bar! (btw if anyone wants the lovely light bar just let me know I would be so happy to donate it and all its heat bulbs!...hahaha)The new light, so I know its an outdoor light... but I love it! The hubs wasn't sold at the store, but it really does look cool!Before- no bead board.
After- Bead Board, still not painted or filled in this picture. I just love it though it makes a substantial impact on a small budget and its super easy to install!

Complete: Although you can't tell from the photos the color is so light and bright. It's Antique White from Behr and I absolutely love how it turned out! It look so much bigger and brighter!

I still wanna get a new picture or shelf or both for above this towel rack... I'm on the lookout!

Side by side before and after!
All for under 180$!
Were on to the fence this weekend! Please pray!!!
God Bless,
Cassie

So much going on

It has just been one of those weeks where everything that you know is coming winds up smack dab in front of you and ready to be taken care of.
1 Job... Wednesday
After my last post about the two jobs my head was spinning and my heart was racing I really didn't know what to do. My husband who I was looking to for answers and guidance decided this was an issue that he was gonna let me figure out on my own, not wanting to interfere with my decision. WELL honey I needed some help! So after a working interview at the dentist office I had a huge realization... This is a career. I would have to learn all about dentistry, from insurance, to procedures, to scheduling, and sales (sales you might ask, well you have to call customers to fill appointments). This job would take months to master and get well antiquated with. This is all fine and good and I know I'm up for the challenge, it was certainly not brain busting work it was just a lot of information. This is where I had a wake up call. My husband could be relocated at any time, it really wouldn't be fair to the people at the office for me to finally get trained and then in 3 months poof I'm gone! Not to mention I don't plan on working after we had children so when I get pregnant ( hopefully soon) I don't plan on working much longer! So it only seemed logical to take the part time job with the fun creative boss and the wonderful hours! I start tomorrow which is wonderful and exciting I can't wait and hopefully the training for this job will be simpler being that I do have retail experience. SO EXCITED!!
Bathroom Update
A while ago Patrick and I started our bathroom renovation. We wanted to take our builder grade master bathroom and on a really tight budget make it pretty and unique. All the houses in our neighborhood are built by the same builder, and unfortunately he uses the same materials in each job. This means that all of our homes are the same. This is so not what I am about! So with a small budget this girl worked really hard to make this bathroom fit our style without any major overhauling. We left the shower surround and the floor and the cabinets. I really want to paint the cabinets but they are brand new and my hubs would NOT go for that! So with the job looming around the corner we are in a really big hurry to get this done I'm trying to put the finishing touches on today!
Fetching Fencing
Another big thing happening this week is our fabulous fence is finally going in! I am so excited that we will no longer have to take Chip out on a leash every time he needs to do his business. I am also excited that he will get to run and sniff and be a doggy outside! Ohh and wait till you see our beautiful fence! We picked out a picket fence (of course, I know!!) but, its not white its cedar. We had to splurge a little bit, but this long lasting material and beautiful look is well worth it!!! I can't wait! My dad is coming on Friday and will be here all weekend to help us put it in. I'm so excited to see him and spend all weekend with him too! Now were just in the pre-work part pulling permits, calling the utility companies, and planning all the other details. It's already a headache, but I know it'll be worth it in the end!
R.C.I.A. here I C.O.M.E
The last big thing that is happening this week is that we officially started our RCIA classes. For those of you as clueless as I am RCIA means Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. Basically I am starting catholic school! My husbands whole entire family is Catholic and we were married in the Catholic church promising to raise our children catholic. Well I better learn how to do that then! So my classes started this week and we meet every Sunday until Easter! I am so excited about this too because I have been going to Mass now for about a year and I never have any idea whats going on. Well I'll keep you posted on how all this goes!
Well that's a lot going on for me so many changes in one week! I just keep praying we'll get through it!

God Bless,

2 jobs 1 day...

For the past year (wow time flies!) I have been living the dream, a stay at home wife. With all the free time in the world I am able to complete projects, blog, play with my puppy, and visit my family and friends whenever I want. However, this whole year I have been applying all over my small town and never getting hired. A wise old man once told me to get somewhere in Jasper "You either gotta know somebody or blow somebody" (please excuse the pure crudeness), ITS TRUE. I never realized how small towns operate and since we know next to no one and I am certainly not going to actualize the second part of that lovely saying the job hunt has been unsuccessful.
Then my prayers were answered, my favorite store in all of Jasper, this amazing little boutique located in the historic center of town called me in for an interview!! I went in an instantly clicked with the owner, she is wonderful and the store is such a creative environment and filled with soooo many beautiful things. The job consists of 2.5 days of work and off days that coincide with Pat's off days!! Since we get limited time together and he likes me at home this seemed like the perfect job and since it was the first one of the year I was really happy!
I walked out of the store with my starting date and a smile, as I was walking to my car I could see my phone in the front seat ringing so I quickly answered it, it was my dad's lovely girlfriend telling me she had found me a job! I couldn't believe it! She had gotten me an interview for a full time receptionist position at a dentist's office... What do I do? After a lot of thinking I decided to go to the interview this morning just to be polite and then I fell in love with the office and the people!!!!! AHHHH I'm so torn because this job pays almost quadruple the other job, but I will be working full time including Mondays (Pat's off day). Undecided. Luckily the dentist office is granting me a working interview tomorrow to see if I am cut out for office work. So who knows! Please Pray for Patrick and I as we try to make this decision! We are so blessed to have so many wonderful gifts in our life and now were waiting for a clear sign to see whats right for our family. I'll keep you all posted!

God Bless,
Cassie
